Shure SRH840 Studio Headphones

Finally, when i received my package, i listened to this awesome cans right away.. From the second i put it on, i instantly fell in love with it.. I've been using the SRH 240 and SE115 for a while and this is a great upgrade if you wanna a great sounding headphone with a reasonable price.

About the sounds, well.. it's superb (considering this is a closed headphone). The high is great. Listening to Mr. Buble here, you can hear every detail of his voice and it's just magnificent. The middle is awesome. Listening to November Rain never been so good. All the background instrument feels so present without overwhelming the more major instrument. The bass is tight and good. I tried listening to Tiesto's Adagio for strings and yep.. just as I expected. The bass is nice..
One more thing, The soundstage of this headphone is awesome (also considering this is a closed headphone). About the build quality, this headphone is a TANK!

Highly recommended if you wanna SE530 in a headphone form!

These are awesome cans. Great for monitoring, amazing clarity, detail and separation of instrument parts.
Perhaps slightly less bassy than some other models/brands such as Audio Technicas, but this can be a good thing and overall they have the most flat response of any closed 'phones I've tried which is why they're great for monitoring and production. And just listening to music.
Great for when my neighbors go to bed early and I want to make beats loud!

Bought a pair of these from the Melbourne store. Assistant was quite helpful and patient while I tried a number of pairs with my iPod. Have been using these headphones as an alternative to monitors, for mixing acoustic tracks with pleasing results.
