Audio Technica ATHANC7B (Noise Cancellation) Headphones

I bought these quite a few years ago, after reading some positive product reviews. I've previously owned a set of BOSE noise cancelling headphones, and these are easily as good - at a fraction of the price. I'd challenge anybody to find a more comfortable set for long haul travel - when stuck in transit for 20 hours, these headsets more than paid for themselves. Unbeatable!

I picked up a pair of the AMC7's a couple of years ago and have used them on over a dozen long haul flights. The difference they make to the trip is amazing. I can wear them for over 20 hours and not have any fatigue on my ears with music either blaring or just on with no music and letting the sound cancellation do its work. They're cheaper than Boss' equivalent and perform as well if not better. Lastly the single battery in them has lasted for over a year. One of the best noise canceling headphones out there.

I've been using a pair of these in the office, on trams and on flights for the last couple of years. No signs of wear or tear. The swivelling cups have even seen them as a DJing backup on one occassion (worked very well but not my first choice for the task). Noise cancellation works wonderfully. They're comfy enough to wear for hours at a time. Sound is very clear and present - obviously not quite as flat and detailed as my $1000 audiophile ATH-W5000s but still very pleasing to my ears. Bass is very typical of AT - tight and punchy without booming. which I personally prefer to the boomy bass you get on many other brands. Battery use is very good - a single AAA lasts me months. In any environment, I can just chuck these on and get instant peace. Add a little music and the sounds of the outside world become long forgotten. I cannot recommend these highly enough. Just be careful crossing the street!
