The new AM2600NG takes the heritage of the iconic AM series amplifiers of the 1980s and 1990s and delivers the same legendary performance and reliability for today’s market.
The AM2600NG boasts a huge step forward in amplifier protection in the form of a comparator circuit that compares the post volume input signal to the output signal level. When the THD of the voltage exceeds a certain value (around 0.5%), voltage limiting occurs, stopping the amplifier from being driven into over-voltage conditions. The AM2600NG also combines a more efficient class G design with a switch mode power supply to deliver a series of power amplifiers that offer high power, light weight and outstanding sonic performance.
