The Xone:4D unites a fully-fledged analogue DJ mixer with over 100 MIDI controls and a more powerful and qualitative 20-channel USB 2.0 soundcard. The graphite four channel mixer is packed full of features including analogue VCF filters with LFO, multi-track recording, and panels that can be read in very low light using an ultra violet sensitive paint. The Xone:4D is without a doubt an excellent piece of equipment. The unit and it's myriad knobs and faders are extremely well built and the sound quality is excellent.

Now for the flipside.

A&H's driver support is a throwback to the early 90s - e.g. poor. I think it's taken them more than 12 months to release a 64bit driver (which isn't usable).

To top it off, NI and A&H have both blamed each other for not having a working map for the recent Traktor upgrade (which is another story in itself).

So if you love to fiddle with maps and you love that flexibility, this device is 100% for you. If you're lazy like me, and you want everything pre-programmed, this might not be the best choice....
