Customer Sales and Bookings Agent - DJ Warehouse Hire Melbourne (Port Melbourne)

Supplying sound, lighting and DJ equipment for private and public events, we pride ourselves on providing a high quality of customer service and fantastic equipment.
Due to ongoing growth, we are looking for a person to join our team in Port Melbourne, working in supporting our existing young and vibrant customer sales team based in Sydney.
The successful applicant will be the first point of contact for incoming enquires from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, where they will be able to deliver the information required by the customer and process their sales enquiry. They will also be expected to keep up-to-date with all the latest products and promotions to deliver the best service to our customers.
The position is a mix of sales and customer service, where the former will require you to identify opportunities to build relationships with venues, businesses, cross-sell/up-sell products and services that will help make the client’s event a success.
This role involves a high level of communication and interaction with customers (and colleagues) in a variety of methods, primarily via phone and email but also face-to-face with the occasional on-site meeting. It is fast-paced and demands a high level of attention to detail.
To be successful you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Communicate clearly in plain english, over the phone, in person and in writing
- Possess a medium-high typing speed
- Be comfortable using web based software
Working within the Audio Visual Equipment and Events industry, a knowledge of the industry is desirable, however a preference will be given to applicants that have a strong phone customer service and sales background combined with AV technical knowledge.
This is a full time position, located in the Melbourne Store, Lorimer St, Port Melbourne. We work a flexible, rotating roster, totalling 38 hours per week, within our standard business hours:
- Monday: 9am - 7pm
- Tuesday - Friday: 9am - 6pm
- Saturday: 9am - 5pm
- Total hours/week: 38

Delivery Driver & Operator - Sydney and Melbourne
We are looking for casual staff to join our expanding hire teams in both Sydney and Melbourne. We are seeking a hard working person to help with our delivery service and production events in our Leichhardt and Port Melbourne warehouses.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Picking and Preparing Equipment
- Delivery of Equipment to events
- Set up of Equipment
- Operating audio & mixing small bands, plus onsite technical support if required
- The role includes weekend / late night work and involves some heavy lifting.
- The ideal candidate will be/posses:
- Drivers License
- Ability to drive a manual van
- Be fit & healthy
- Polite & Courteous
- Work at a fast pace
- Have an attention to detail
- Available to work weekends and late hours
Experience in audio setup (Small format analogue mixer, DJ equipment and speakers) and ability to mic up and mix a small band in this position is preferred, but not essential.
Remuneration is based on award rates, with penalty rates for after hours and late night work.
Candidates with their own van will be remunerated accordingly with the prescribed rates for their vehicle.
Work hours are generally 8am-6pm 7 days a week, with late night work usually occurring on Fridays and Saturday. There is a rotating shift schedule that is shared amongst multiple drivers but all drivers need to be available for all hours on a fortnightly rotating schedule.
